"I just dont get it at all!!!", Sabeen shouted at the top of her voice. "Why dont you just let me take this decision on my own???WHY mama WHY??"."I am not a kid anymore, I am a grown up girl, and knows what is good and bad for me"!!"This is a matter of my life and I have all the right to decide about the man I will be marrying, and this is my final decision!!! I will only marry Umar!!"
And she slammed the door right on Ms Tazeen's face, leaving her, standing like a blank page with no thoughts at all in her mind.
This has been happening at Tazeen's place from the last 8 months now. Since the time her daughter Sabeen started to develop some serious feelings for her class mate Umar.
A young aimbitious man, from an average family. The eldest, and the only one that is being running the bread and butter since the time his father passes away.
Ms Tazeen, who is the one of the leading industrialist of the present age, finding it hard to accept the bitter reality and let her daughter repeat the same mistake she did 20 years back.
She left her daughter's room, and walked to the front garden as she needs some fresh air. "How can I let Sabeen repeat the same mistake I did 20 years ago", she kept asking herself different question. All these past years, she has been through alot. Her parents supported her, right after she got divorced after 6 months of her marriage. She sat down on the easy chair, in the garden, took her slippers off. A feeling of soothness ran through her body, when her bare feet touched the wet grass. As it was an evening of August in Karachi. The scorching beams of sun light burns the skin during the day, but as the evening falls it gets a little cold.
While sitting and thinking about this whole melodrama that has been going on in her family, she closed her eyes and travelled 20 years back in time.
"Daddy I told you, the only person to whom I will marry is, none other than Saif".
"It is the matter of my life, and as an elder I have the right to decide about my marriage. And if you will not accept this proposal, then we will do court marriage". Mr Ali Kazmi, Tazeen's father looked at her, with mixed feelings of love and anger in his eyes. His little fairy is now standing right at his face, shouting at him, asking him to be with a man, who is famous for his lousy and loose character. Mrs Ali, Tazeen's mother, was crying because of the whole situation in her family. "Oh lord! please give our girl some brains to think and eyes to see, and let her differentiate between good and evil, ameen". Tazeen heard her mother mumbelled the same dua she gives her, everytime they are having this conversation.
Finally the threat worked on Mr and Mrs Ali, and from Miss Tazeen Kazmi, she became Tazeen Khan. She was overwhelmed with happiness, as she finally got married to the one she loved. The clock gets ticking with its normal pace, and right after fourth month of marriage, Tazeen came to know about Saif's addiction to drugs and women. She started to question him. "Where are you going at this time of the night Saif??", she asked with love and affection. Saif snapped back at her,"Dont you dare asking me these typical questions Tazeen". And all she can do, is just sit back and sulk.
But this situation got worstend, when Saif told her about his affair with another woman and that he is intending to marry her'.
"Madam ji, come inside as it is getting abit colder and wet out in here", servent's voice brought Tazeen back from the past. She walks inside the house with mixed and jumbled thoughts in her head.
Next day Umar's family was planning to visit and to meet Tazeen. But her ego was way too big. She refused and made an excuse of being busy in the meeting. But as her daughter, Sabeen knew why her mother is refusing to meet Umar and family. "Mama please, just atleast meet them. Its not necessary that if someone has done bad with you, the same thing happens to me or with everyone else!!!". " The chances and the probability of deception is higher, as your father was pretending to be all nice and smart with me". Tazeen replied. "Yeh but this doesnt give you any right to predict the future and to be so much negative about Umar", Sabeen protested. "Mama just please, atleast meet the family for once, for my sake", Sabeen cried helplessly. Just for a split second, Ms Tazeen made a decision and told Sabeen to call the family for dinner.
At dinner, Umar came with his family to see Ms Tazeen. After having a long discussion about his future aspirations, she was finding it real hard to reject this proposal. "Ma'm, I assure you, that I belong to a decent family. I value relationships, and I have been brought up as a pure gentleman."
That night, after the family left, Ms Tazeen kept thinking and thinking about her past. "Its not necessary, that if evil has happend to me, it will happen to my daughter too?!". Eventually she made up her mind and took the decision. She thought, that it is certainly not essential that Umar will do bad with my daughter. "Probably, it is a way through which, my Lord wanted to make me go through the same intense pain, that my parents had to go through, 20 years before because of my hasty and emotional decision".
At the day of Umar and Sabeen's marriage, Ms Tazeen was welcoming everyone with warm gestures, thinking "What goes around does come back around".

art
A good sunday so far. As I have almost read the whole newspaper. A couple of fine articles caught my attention, as they are about essay writing and interviewing and resume/cv writing skills.
I strongly believe that interviewing is an art. To sit there, in front of a random person, who might be end up being a complete pain(in other words 'boss'), and act as everything is fine. No sign of anxiety or nervousness at all, replying to the querries confidently, is truely an art. And as been said by the great writer of all times, William Shakespear; "When you develop an ability to listen to almost everything, without loosing your temper and self confidence, that means you are educated"
I just have a habbit of giving interviews. Its like a feeling of victory that I have, when I am coming out of the interview room. I can just tell in the first minute that what kind of interview this is going to be.
The most important thing I believe, is to take control of the situation, by playing abit of mind trick with the interviewer. It is a science on its own (Neuro-linguistic Programming). Its like, to make him question you, something that you want him to. Lets take a look at an example from one of my latest interview;
Interviewer: So tell me something about your recent job?
Me: "Well, as I was working under the capacity of sales manager with a team of 8 salesmen, towards a specific target of x million a month. The business was challenging, as, we were not allowed to bring new clients, but to increase the revenue within that particular client list. Me and my team, sits together every month and PLAN a whole strategy as to, how and what to do in that particular month, in order to achieve these monthly targets? and then because of the strategies I implimented with my team, recently we not only, secured the position of the best sales team across the region, but also managed to achieve the targets"
Now if you observe and read it carefully, I ended my answer in a way, that will make him as me the question that I wanted him to ask. And that will be;
Interviewer: And what were those strategies?
Offcourse, the qualifications, skils, and degrees do make a difference. But I have seen extra smart people, failing their interviews, yet ordinary and average scorer achieving success. So it is all a matter of, HOW WELL YOU INSPIRE THE OPPONENT(INTERVIEWER)

First time for everything
Today finally I managed to create one of the blogging accounts. I always have the curosity to figure out, as to what exactly people do on blogging. I mean, is it like a 'diary writing' with an 'e' at the begining, making it an 'e-diary' or something like that?!
I personally believe, that it will be highly beneficial to me for my upcoming venture. I've recently resigned from one of the largest MNC's of the world, just because of one thing, and that is the passion for Teaching. I know, i know, that quiet a few individuals out there, will find it funny and stupid of me, as how come, when I was working in the capacity of sales manager, resigned only because of teaching?? Why would I take such a drastic step specially in such a turmoil economic conditions?? Even my own family has taken a back, when they come to know about my decision. But I stronly believe, that individuals can go miles and miles, in terms of progress, if they are in a field or profession that they enjoys most. So I am just keeping my fingers crossed, and having a positive hope, that my decision will bring some kind of change in the lives of people, with whom I will be interacting.
